Concrete floor

Concrete floor laid in existing building and extension.

Timber is placed into steel work.

South facing wall rebuilt with windows and door holes.


Original barn entrance gets filled in.

Extension footings excavated.

Stock proof fencing erected around back garden.




North facing wall work commences.

Part of the North facing wall being removed. An extension will be built here using original stone from demolished walls. Old plaster is removed from the remaining walls.

Footings laid for South facing wall to be rebuilt.

Concrete footing ready for block & stone work to commence.

Demolition of South facing wall, stone cleaned and kept.

The stone wall is a metre wide. Demolition is suspended until permission is granted by the planning officer to continue.

Gables reduced to a safe height.

Tiles removed and kept, roof trusses removed and sold.



18 roof trusses are to be removed.

Lean to removed and site clearance begins.

The barn has been reduced in height sometime in the past, probably because the South facing wall is out out of plumb.

Interior of barn and lean to before work commenced.

The barn has for many years been used as a garage.

Views of Church to North and farmland to South.

The barn is set back from the main road and is accessed through a gated driveway.

Stone barn in Somerset is purchased with planning permission granted to convert to a dwelling. First floor is to be added and extension built to create a four bed home.
